NEW LEVEL 2 MEDIA VAULT POSTED!!

For those of you who aren't able to make it to the recent acoustic shows....have no fear!

Video from the 10.1.07 show at Kenny's Castaways is now posted HERE!

The setlist is also posted in the SCRAPBOOK

Saturday, September 29, 2007

People will come and go, but you will always have family. TCB, you have jumped at every opportunity to help us boys realize and pursue our dreams. When most try to talk their kids out of dropping everything and hitting the road, you asked if we needed a driver. You won't ever see him without a pin proudly displayed on his lapel.

Happy Birthday Pop!

Love,
Your boys

Hey there!

So the first acoustic show was a great time, a big thanks to all that came out. My next solo acoustic performance is this coming Monday (10/1/07) at the same venue: Kenny's Castaways

10/1/07 - Monday Night
Kenny's Castaways
157 Bleecker St NYC

I go on at 8pm.

This is a free show and my new album "Swallowed by the Wolf" will also be available at the show. This is to be a fun, low key intimate performance for my friends and we will build off that. I know this is short notice, but please stop in if you can, it would mean a lot to me.

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Hey guys...GOOD NEWS! The WOLF is now in stock at Amazon finally...you can get it HERE.

ALSO, for those who like the instant gratification, you can finally get it on iTunes HERE!

If you already have the album, please stop at these places and post GLOWING reviews to entice others :)

SHOWS! SHOWS! SHOWS!

Oh it's true...NAVAR is about to start playing again and alot. It's been way too long, the album is just about wrapped up and (most importantly) we miss you all and can't wait to rock out again. The new music is life changing and fits our energetic live show in a way that none of our studio albums have ever been able to do. We have a couple NYC shows as well as some WNY shows confirmed...with more on the way! The album won't be for sale for the shows in April, but we will have new merch and samples.

Here is the run down....check the tour page for additional info and more confirmed dates as they are posted:

3/23/07 - Snitch NYC
4/02/07 - Snitch NYC
4/14/07 - Teen Tinnitus - Coudersport Consistory
5/27/07 - Fillmore Hotel

The Snitch shows have a $10 cover, but if you as a fan want to get "on the list," just shoot over an email to info@navar.net and we will make it happen. It is a killer rock club mixed with a trendy New York City nightclub/lounge and both will be a big deal kind of shows for us.

If there are any places, festivals, events that you would like to see us play....feel free to, again, shoot us over an email. We are looking to play any and everywhere this Summer. We have a lot planned but would love to include you all as well.

Anyway, enough of my blabbering...I have a lot of work to do! Miss you all!

Love,
pat

p.s. check back often, we are only days away from more shows being posted. Also, check out the NAVAR Nation Forum...it is starting to warm up.

Wednesday, February 14, 2007

Hello friends! Happy Valentine's Day! I hope all of you are happy with a loved one or at least surrounded by those who you care about. It is a snowy, miserable day here in NYC but I am warmed by all that is going on. The early mixes of the songs in the running for the new album are starting to sound REALLY good and everyone here is getting excited. I am playing a few acoustic shows in February, with full band shows and showcases being booked for March and April.

On a side note...I really want to share some new music with you! Here's an easy deal....subscribe to my blog on myspace this week and I will send you a link to a mix that is becoming quite polished!

That is about it for now. Keep checking back for more info on the cd release and supporting shows. I hope to see you all very very soon.

Love,
pat

Monday, January 29, 2007

It sickens me to come to this page and see a December date as the last time this was updated. With the number of emails I have received...I guess it was important to fill you all in and make sure you know we are still alive and kickin. I have been doing some blogging on my Myspace page with some of the happenings, so check that out if you get a chance. The new album is starting to finally come together. I took a bit of a break in January, longer than I would have liked...but definitely necessary. Last week I headed upstate to beautiful Hume, NY to our studio where I got back to work. Johnny came in from Geneseo and we got a lot of progress done. As I see it, we are about a week away from finishing recording, production and early mixes. I can't tell you how proud I am of this new music and the band that Benny, John, Tim and I have evolved into.

I don't have a camcorder but I will try and do some video updates with the camera on my computer (as long as I don't stare into it and creep everyone out).

I miss you all and look forward to sharing this new music through the internet, your radio and live in person.

Love,
pat

Monday, December 18, 2006

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to take a second and wish you all a wonderful holiday season! Things are great with the band...we have 16 TRACKS in the works...and look to wrap it all up in less than a month! I know news has been limited and updates have been as few as there has been shows, but let me assure you that 2007 will be a big one.

As most of you know I have been in New York City most of this year networking and writing...and that will all pay off bigtime...i promise. I am here at Sea Legs now in Hume NY, working on the guitar parts. Johnny gets back tomorrow from another semester at Geneseo to do his lead work. Benny and Tim have finished there parts and they are ROCKING! I have talked about a rock album for a long time and we have never done it...until now.

I will work on some Holiday gifts for all of you on here, YouTUBE and any other place we have stuff. Also, if you didnt know...I post almost daily on my personal myspace page. You can get a lot of info there.

I miss you all so terribly much and hope you realize that this is only the calm before the storm. I also hope to see you out at the Olean show this weekend. It is an annual show tradition to play 3rd Base...the actual place where the band was formed before a St. Bonaventure basketball game (how's that for trivia).

Love,
pat

Thursday, December 07, 2006

You've heard the rumors, now it's official!

For you hardcore Navar fans, this will be your first look at what the guys have been cranking out at the studio! Brand new songs! Plus all your favorites, and of course some surprises!

See you there!

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

Hey friends! I am sorry I haven't blogged in a while on my myspace page or updated the Nation...but I want to ask for a favor. This is Ben and my Grandfather, "Da"

He has been in a lot of pain lately and, as you all know, nothing hurts worse then knowing a person that means so much to you is struggling. Da and his wonderful wife Nanny have been an inspiration to all that they have come in contact with, not only with their overwhelmingly positive outlook on life and the people in it….but their partnership in what I feel is “true love.” I know you might not know them personally, but I ask as friends of us here in NAVAR that you take a second after reading this to say a hopeful thought or prayer for Da, Nanny and the entire Axelson and Barry family.

News of the day...."NAVAR Dad" Thomas C. Barry turns 59!

Thanks for your love and support pops. While most would lecture their children about the security of a 401k and steady day job...regardless of how much we enjoy it...you believed that we could chase down our dreams. You have pushed and helped us every step of the way, giving us the confidence we need to get after it.

You can see Tommy at practically every show, handing out buttons, chatting with new and old friends, hanging with "NAVAR Mom" as she sells merch, helping carry gear when needed...and most importantly ROCKING OUT with his boys.

Thanks for everything. Literally...none of us would be here without you!

Wednesday, September 27, 2006

Also, let's work on taking our beloved forum to the next level. Bring a friend on, get them to register and start a discussion you might have had over IM going. Whether it's the new demo, gas prices or this past weekends football games...bringing up new topics with new people will allow us all to chime in and truly utilize our community here. Bring the wit!

Hey friends!

Good times coming up this weekend, 2 shows and lots of road time! We have been working hard on the new album. You can check out one of the demos on our Myspace Page, the song is called "Revolution Tonight!"

If you are in the area (Allentown PA or Morgantown WV), please stop over to the shows. We will be playing a bunch of new stuff and would love to hear what you think.

Updates have been few but we are working on that. Here are a bunch of pictures from the recording session we did at the end of August:

Since there aren't a lot of shows to get points at, I have been working on a few ways you can rack 'em up. This is my first of many tasks that can give you endless points....if you are willing to put in some work.

REVIEWS!!

We have our albums available on many digital and online outlets...and each have a place for you to review. One of the easiest things to do is just go to our store and start clicking on the links to the albums and where they can be bought. From there, just start writing your own reviews of our releases. If you write a review of Touch of Class on Amazon, head over to itunes and post it there as well! You can also incorporate NAVAR tracks in an imix and publish it for other music fans to discover. Every bit helps!

In order to get points, all you have to do is email me ( pat@navar.net ) a link to your review and I will award you 100 points for every review posted! The key is not to be blatant and post a meaningless review...post something with some thought and insight.

I will try and structure this post a bit better with links to all the places that the albums are posted...but this should be enough to get going.

World domination is near...let's rock!

Love,
pat

NAVAR rocked NYC...and here are a few picture care of the ridiculously talented Brady Dillsworth:

Tuesday, March 21, 2006

Happy Birthday Tim!

We love you to death Timmy and thank you for all your hard work, determination, fodder for ridicule and bizarre idiosyncrasies. We hope your day is filled with juggling, hoola hooping, Frisbee Toss family record breaking, doritos, beef jerky and of course....Mountain Dew.

We wouldn't be here without you bro. Here's to you Timmy!

Monday, March 20, 2006

Howdy folks!

Here are a couple of images from our photo shoot last Saturday with Brady Dillsworth and Garry Greer. Many more to come...Enjoy!

Friday, March 17, 2006

As you may or may not know...we have a HUGE show on 3/24/06. It is a very exciting private showcase for members of the industry, media and friends. If you are interested in attending...you MUST RSVP by clicking on the link below or calling the number below. I hope you can make it!

Wednesday, March 01, 2006

You have all waited long enough! Here is a new Level 1 video from last weekends show. Check it out on the Video page.

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

ATTENTION!

For a limited time...until we get over 1000 Nation members...you will get twice as many points for every new referral. That means that when a new member signs up and names you as the referring member...you now get 200 points instead of 100!!

We will be adding quite a bit of new content and media files...so gaining the points and reaching higher levels is a must!

Once we reach 1000 members, the referral point level will drop back down to 100 points...so take advantage of this opportunity and spread the word!

Happy Valentines Day!
Love NAVAR

Friday, February 10, 2006

Hey guys! Let's get the bad news out of the way first: the show at the OP in Allegany has been postponed. The good news is, the rescheduled show will be part of a HUGE Navar weekend if everything goes according to plan. More details to follow, but plan on it in March!

In other news, we have some very exciting things going on within the band. Pat has set up in NYC, and is doing an awesome job at creating a buzz for us there. This is only the beginning.

Is everyone primed and ready for a new Navar album??? The recordings that are in the works right now are like nothing I've ever heard. I honestly don't know how these guys can make hit after hit like this, and I try not to question it! (It makes my job easy!) Stay glued to the board and the myspace page for some samples!

As always, feel free to leave us a message on the boards, or drop us an email. I'll have more details later, see ya!

Thursday, January 12, 2006

Are you interested in coming to the show at R&R this friday night? Shoot me an email at pat@navar.net and I will put you on the guest list and save you the sting of a NYC cover charge!

Love,
pat

Wednesday, January 11, 2006

I have really bad news guys....due to a tragic passing our show on Saturday night (1/14) at Club Diablo in Buffalo is postponed. I apologize for the short notice, but things like this can't really be planned. The funeral is Saturday so our show on Friday at RandR in NYC is still going on as planned. Thanks so much for your understanding and I promise we will make it up to you as soon as possible.

Thursday, January 05, 2006

Seriously, I don't know what I would do without you guys. This has been a ridiculously stressful few months and if it wasn't for the Nation and the wonderful community that YOU ALL have made it...I don't know if I would be as excited as I am today. I will be putting together a big post on what I would like to call the "state of NAVAR" with all my thoughts on this past year and the wonderful one that is upon us. Expect to see it later today.

It is a little after 3am and I just finished up a demo for a new song that I am actually writing for all of you. I will be premiering it on Twisted Unkle Justin's radio show in a few hours but I wanted to post it here for you to download and hopefully enjoy. I think we all take this time to reflect on how we spent our last year...heck I do it all year long. I guess the main statement that I am trying to make is that as long as you are still breathing you have a chance to turn it all around.

"Turn it All Around" -A song for my loved ones...all of you

Ok, so expect more from me later today, after Unkle Justin's show on Freedom 105.3FM in Hornell and probably a much needed nap!

May this be the best year yet for all of us!!!

Love,
pat

Monday, January 02, 2006

A new show, a cancellation, and nomination!

Hey guys, I regret to announce that the show at the Hi-Fi Club in Cleveland has been postponed. I'll let everyone know when the new date is.

The good news is that we will be making a power-packed return to Club Diablo on Washington Street in Buffalo! The date is January 14th and the time is 10pm. This one is going to be huge!

"Touch of Class" has been named one of the Top 100 cd's of 2005 by Upstage Magazine! Head on over to their site and vote for Navar! Tell your friends!

Hope to see you all soon!
Adam

Monday, December 05, 2005

Things are picking up everyone! I have been lucky to be a part of a pretty cool project during these past few weeks! Tomorrow on the Howard Stern Show my good friend Vinnie Favale (VP of Late Night Programming at CBS) will be on to say goodbye like all of the show regulars will be doing between now and when Howard moves to Sirius. Along with reminiscing his funny and embarrassing appearances...Vinnie will be promoting a compilation that I had the honor of co-producing called "The Best of Restless...Volume 1"

The CD is a Stern show collectors item and contains 16 versions of the song that was made famous during the contest on the show last summer. We were one of the bands that participated in the contest and are also included on the compilation CD. Tune in to hear Vinnie promote the release tomorrow morning on the Howard Stern Show (12/6/05) and order your copy of this piece of broadcast history on www.RipTheMusic.com.

There have been a few more shows booked, recording/writing/pre-production has begun and NAVAR is about to be re-born like you've never seen us before. It's all happening...

Love Pat

Sunday, December 04, 2005

Sorry for such late notice...but I will be on 98.9FM the BUZZ tonight in Rochester around 9pm. Tune in!

So there's no shock at the upcoming shows, it is important for us to make an announcement. Well...who better to do it than the Skipster himself....

"This is Michael 'Skippy' Yudichack... and I have some rather sad news. I have decided to leave the band. This was a very difficult decision for me to make and there are many reasons. My best-friends Pat, Ben and Tim will continue with the band and continue to be successful. I will always treasure and never forget the experiences I've had with the fans and people that became my friends along the way. Please email me at myudichak@gmail.com anytime. I will truly miss all of you. Love Skippy"

We totally support Skippy and his future endeavors and we wish our brother nothing but the best.

As for NAVAR, the train keeps on rolling with a new album already in pre-production, a single to debut in about a month and plenty of tour dates waiting in the wings.

It's been a long time since we have added some new stuff..so here for ALL members is a fun song we did for fun. The story is scenario is similiar to the "Restless" contest...but there was no contest. I basically did it as a favor for a friend of mine that had some lyrics...and NAVAR made a song out of it for him. Enjoy!

I know it's tough to stay on top of all of the NAVAR sites, so I'm going to try and post NAVAR news everywhere. We just got word of a new "Touch of Class" review! Although it's posted on the forum, here is the review:

"We heard the new release from impressive upstaters, Navar, whose latest, Touch of Class, continues to make these guys stand out from the pack. Their manner of rocking is always melodic, ever-passionate and full of grand depth. Songs like the sweetly infectious, "Raining" and the more ireful "Keep It To Yourself," showcase the band's emotional range, with singer Patrick Barry getting the point across with intense feeling. Not only taking care of vocals, Barry is also the main songwriter, and recorded, engineered, mixed and produced this gem of an album! Hear selections from the new one as Navar plays Monty's Krown on Thursday, November 10th"

Tim is in his element here at the Pirates game. Here are his top heckles of the game so far:

"Yeah well the Rams suck this year!"

"We make more money than you...we're coldplay!"

"You're awesome on my fantasy teams...bench"

He also caught a ball tossed to him by Jason Bay...last years rookie of the year who hit a game tying 2 run home run in the 9th inning. Our little Timmy is gonna have a tough time sleeping tonight!

More lyrics....YES!!

Smile

I'm spelling funny words in a ridiculous way
Your laugh is growing stronger with the scenes that I make
I'm coughing from the smoke but promise I'm OK
I'm feeling more at home with every breath that I take

Then I watch
The world react to your style
All the waters part
All the mountains slide
To catch a glimpse of you
Under a painted sky
Elegently fine....it was your smile that saved me

I waited patiently

Feeling all alone and I can't comprehend
The path is overgrown and I've lost all my friends
Feeling low...feeling oh so low

Then I watch
The world react to your style
All the mountains pile
All the rivers wild
To catch a glimpse of you
Under a painted sky
Elegently fine....it was your smile that saved me

Come on, I cannot comprehend
Your feeling so undone falling from my head
I cannot wait...cannot waste again
One more sans you

Then I watch
The world react to your style
All the mountains crumble
All the waters dry
From catching glimpses of you
Under a painted sky
Underneath your fire....it was your smile

We have a new forum up...hope you guys like it. Stop by and post something and email support@navarnation.com if you have an errors or issues with it. Here are some more lyrics:

Make it to Forever

The penthouse suite of my heart is vacant
And the pipes are beginning to freeze from just a day without you

How can we out last the cold if we can't make it through the winter?
How can we out run the street lights if our hands aren't tight together?
Running circles on your palms, locking smiles and tamdem laughter
How can we make it to forever...if we don't make it to forever?

The songs that you gave me, in constant rotation
In my head and my bones
this stereo is growing tired of heart ache

And my cracking voice, singing and shaking
Every inch of this place reminds me of you

Chorus

Sunday, August 21, 2005

I have been told by a number of folks that the one thing that sucks about the new album is.....no lyrics in the booklet! Sorry guys, I had no idea that it was going to be such an issue! I guess it also doesn't help that I have been promising to post the lyrics here and haven't yet. So, here goes...

Coming For You

Here we go
You promised gold for just an ounce of hope
and sweat and splashing greed
Like that's all you need

Calming tones, sincerely soaked
Been feeling like I can't believe that this scene is the one that I need
And they're all with me

Because I'm feeling withdrawn from all the gloss that you've grown
and spread all over this town to bait them
And now I'm walking along with a spring in my step
The wind in my sails
The sun at my back

And yes I'm taking you on with your reality shows
and your cocaine nose and all the hearts that you've broke
I'm coming for you

And so it goes, you're feeling owed
For all bestowed and opportunity wasted on me
But all I see are piles of reciepts
and not a second of time off the clock or the friendship you promised me
And now I'm finally free

Chorus
